Korean Pop Music Changed My Life

I am quite positive that by now almost everybody has heard the song Gangnam Style by PSY. Even though that is an amazing song it is not the purpose of this post. Before I begin I will leave you to think about this simple question. Has there ever been something that you've done, listened to, taken part of, or in any other means changed your life dramatically for better or for worse? This is what the music genre Korean Pop has done for me, and thankfully it was for the better.

Why do I love Korean Pop Music? I get asked this question a lot. So I thought now would be a good time to give my entire answer to the question. Korean Pop music is my number one favorite because it is different then the music most people like and listen to (Metal, Screamo, Dub-step, Rap, Country, R&B, Blues, Techno etc...) Also it is normally very upbeat and puts me in a very "happy" mood. Another reason is that it was new to me, I gave it a chance and now I can not live without it. The music genre as a whole is now on a very high pedestal for me and as of right now, will never be moved from its spot as my all time favorite music genre.

Group: T-ara (English: Tiara)
Members: Qri, park So-yeong, Ham Eun-jung, Jeon Boram, Hyomin, Park Ji-yeong, Lee Areum, Dani
My Favorite: Jeon Boram

Almost two years ago a very good friend showed me this music group that she thought I would really enjoy, The group she showed me was the group known as T-ara. To be completely honest, at first I hated it. However, after listening to this one song over and over again, I began to love T-ara and appreciate the music genre Korean pop. I found a handful of their songs that I actually really enjoyed through my search for more of this music type. I was very impressed with the results I found in my search of this one particular group. The songs I found of theirs along with the one posted below (Roly Poly) I also found Lovey Dovey, Cry Cry, Sexy Love, Round & Round, Like the First time, and Day by Day. After listening to them for over a year now, despite the dispute they had with a former group member.... they are very talented singers/ dancers. My reasoning for all of this is this, I did not always have an enjoyable or "happy" life, but when I started listen to Korean Pop music it changed my life in ways that I never thought possible just by doing what I did every day before hand, which was not much when I look back on it. I found another Korean group through T-ara (thank you strange Youtube related video choices) named KARA. I will talk about this group in a little while.

Changes to My Life:
After listening to T-ara for a few months I noticed that my behavior towards myself, and towards other people was changing from being rude when asked questions, or others just trying to be friendly towards me to being nicer and more pleasant to communicate with. Also on a very positive note, I began to be less lazy and actually got out of bed to do things I never wanted to do before in previous years like homework, go out and see friends/family, etc... Little did I know that another drastic change was about to occur in the next few short months to come.

Group: KARA
Members: Goo- Ha-ra, Nicole Jung, Kang Jiyoung, Park Gyu-ri, Han Seung-yeon
My Favorite: Nicole Jung (My idol) <3

I found this group through listening to T-ara. The song I found first of theirs was their song Step. I instantly fell in love with the group. I was flabbergasted at the amount of talent that these women had in them. All of them have the signing power and the amazing talent of dance. For that I am thankful for them to come into my home (through Youtube video's) and bring me the best music I have ever heard, Now ALL of my music on my Ipod and other music devices is Korean Pop, and other Korean Music that I am 100% addicted to. I will never go back to American music or any other music genre for as long as I live, no other music even comes close to how amazing Korean Pop music is. Below is the MV (Music Video) of KARA's song STEP. A few of the other songs of theirs that I completely love are Electric Boy, Orion, Lupin, Pandora, Mister, Break it, If you Wanna, and We're With You. Through KARA I found other great Korean Groups, groups such as f(x), Girls Generation, BoA (Best of Asia), and Davachi

Changes to my Life: Along with what T-ara has changed in my life which I am grateful for, KARA has put a new perspective on my life that I never noticed or sought out beforehand, I can now look in the mirror and be proud of what I see in the reflection. Also, over the short year of listening to KARA and falling in love with every single that they came out with, I have become more outspoken in situations that I normally would of kept my mouth shut. Areas like in High School, wanting to answer the teachers questions, or helping other kids who were not quite getting what the teacher was trying to get across to us. Along with that, my grades in school increased and my test scores soared skyward. What I am most proud of though that entered my life through Listening to KARA and Korean Pop Music in general is that it brought me out of my depression.

Halo vs. Call of Duty? Which Would you rather Spend Time on, on a Daily Bases?

Before I begin, I just want to assure everyone who reads this. I am not hating on ether game in anyway, however over the years I've found many things I love about both game and a lot of things that I find very stupid in both as well. These are my opinions you do not have to agree with them.
Lets start off with my favorite of the two here, Halo. Over the years I have been a Halo try hard I will admit this. However even though the campaign in each game is very impressive (with the exception of Halo: Reach) and it has a good flow and fear factor to it. On the other hand in my mind the multiplayer could be so much better. First of all, who at Bungie (when it first began) thought it was a good idea to let team mates kill each other? What could you possible gain from doing this besides making your self look like an ass. On that note when a team mate takes something like a sniper rifle or shotgun you can make your self useful and defend an objective like a flag if it is capture the flag or go out and kill a few retards if it is team death match (slayer as it is known in the Halo series). Now before I continue I just wanted to point out that even though the last reason I find the multiplayer irritating I still find it to be one of the best multiplayer experiences out there. You get to test your skills against other people and you get to see which strategies work and which ones do not if the people on your team know what they are doing and not sitting in the back of the map shooting each other or are AFC (away from controller) the entire game. Last thing for now about the Halo series. Through out the years of playing it and getting to experience the game play, it is a very straight forward FPS game but as with every game it has its twists. In Halo if you have never played it, there are basically two different sides fighting. The humans (with the help of the Elites in Halo 2-3) and the Covenant. With galactic war on the rise you must take part as the Chief to stop the fighting and to keep humanity from falling into enemy clutches.

Call of Duty, voted the "best multiplayer experience of the year." Personally I think this is a complete lie but to each their own. Even though I have played almost every Call of Duty game out there I have to say the only good thing about it is the single player story. Ever since the very first one the story mode has been a very good and actually fun challenge for the most part. Granted just as every game you must figure out how to get through story mode on the hardest difficulty if you are that kind of person like I am. The first three Call of Duty games were very challenging since I personally was not used to the weapon systems they were using. However... even with the more modern ones I think they could of made it a little more fair for both sides. Or at the least have a game mode for beginners or something so they can get a feel for the multiplayer without the stress of being in a game lobby with a 10th prestiged person. On that note what is the point of the prestige system? I never figured this out. Why do all that work to get your guns and upgrades and then have to do it all over again? I see no reason or clear point in doing this. For now I will just have to accept that it is there to keep the try hards in their place.

Real Game Play? or Xbox Live No Lives?

Call of Duty.... What to say.... Hhhmmmm.... Lets start off by saying it is complete garbage and does not deserve to be called one of the 'best" game series ever. The multiplayer is a joke for starters, so many damn snipers no scoping and quick scoping people who are trying to get new guns or just trying to have fun. STOP IT!!! Its not cute anymore, back in CoD4 it was cute to no scope/quick scope. Now it is just beginning to become a public tick that no one can get rid off. Don't even get me started on the shotgun runners who do nothing but have an AA-12 gold camouflage and can kill you from across the map with it, F**k off kids. Where did the good old days go?? People with assault rifles a sidearm and once in a while an RPG? Like the real military. You don't hear real military personnel doing this shit do you? Then why do it on a video game that is suppose to 'resemble" real military?

Second of all.... this kill-streak junk, what a bad idea that was. Every 15 seconds I see attack dogs, helicopter gunners, Nukes (MW2), EMP, juggernauts, AC-130,s Bombers, Etc.... It is getting old very quick. They need to take away all of these kills-streak options so both sides have a fair fight, also speaking of fair fights, I think if you quick scope you should be banned from the lobby for 10 minutes, no exceptions. Would save many people a lot of hassle and stress if this would to occur. I cant count how many times I've been spawn killed by a kill-streak that shouldn't even be there in the first place. Especially on maps that are open or have very little to no cover. Just like every other game lately, the teams are one sided, even if there is a good player on the losing team, he or she is blamed for the team losing even if the team mates are jerking off in the background and not doing a damn thing.

Glitch in the System?

Ok this is really starting to get on my nerves. Every time I play on certain maps I see someone with a sniper get out of the map into areas that are physically impossible to get to, an example would be the map where you are on one of Palavins moons, I see people get on top of the huge rock so they can not be killed or be touched by the enemy. It is pissing me off to see this many people with no guts what so ever to take an enemy head on. I understand that some enemies like the Banshee, Atlas, Brutes and Geth Primes can be a very challenging opponent, especially on Gold and Platinum but that does give these people the excuse to mess with the server to save their own butts. All I have to say to people who do this is TAKE A GOD DAMN CHANCE! Its good for you. Also while im going on about messed up servers, Why do some enemies (especially on Gold and Platinum when it is the most annoying) appear but are stuck in the middle of the air and take no damage? or get stuck in a wall and it takes 10 minutes for them to just die, but by then everyone quit the game so it is not as easy to continue especially if you are on the last wave or something.

The picture below is what I wish many more people were like toward people who do this kind of crap over Xbox Live.

Mass Effect 3: Why all the trouble?

I love this game to death but I still have many questions and things that annoyed me about this game, that for many other people, wouldn't even care about.
First of all, during the battle for the Citadel they made a big deal about saving the Destiny Asention, however not once did I see it fire its weapons, even at the very end of ME3 I saw it sitting there by the Citadel and it wasn't doing a damn thing.

Second of all, I really wanted to see Shepard have a kid or some kind of family started with the love interest of your choice, there was a 2 month period between ME and ME2, during that time frame all they were doing was looking for the Geth who I might add were inactive at the time. Speaking of love interests, why do they show Liara T'Soni completely naked but not Female Shepard? same body parts, just a different skill color.

Another thing, If you pick the correct ending and you see the destroyed buildings of London again, does anyone actually find Shepard laying there? or does she just die laying there in the debris.

Last of all for now, if you get the right war assets like the Drell, Elcor, Hannar, Salarians, and the Batarians, why are they not mentioned when Joker is telling Shepard which fleets are reported in? It seems a bit odd that you go through the trouble for finding them but then they don't actually count in the fleet total. I know the Salarian STG and the Krogan are there, so are the Turians and Asari but I've never seen a Batarian, a geth, a Quarian or an Elcor fighting on the ground for the final fight, which I might add was a bit disappointing for taking back an entire planet. I was hoping to see an all out engagment through out more cities then just London, what ever happened to Vancover, and New York? Also what happened to all the nuclear weapon deposits that The Americans and Russians had during our time? Could of taken out a few dozen reapers with them and saved many more lives.

Halo Reach Multiplayer Unexcused Game Play and Behavior

To start this off, Why do people think rank matters in this game? Rank has no meaning, to be honest, the higher your rank is, the more time you've wasted on this game when you could be doing something else more interesting and worthwhile. Also how does a Spartan scare you? its a game calm the hell down. Please look to the right of this rant to see a picture of my Halo: Reach Spartan, how is she scary looking? Honestly?
I really want to play BRB but everyone fu*king votes for BTB Heavies, the game type is horrible (my opinion) and the good maps are rarely one of the options anymore. I miss the good old days when Big Team Battle was only Hemorrhage, Spire, Bone Yard and Paridsio, Now they have these pathetic excuses for maps ( Wayont, Trident, Rasu, Delta Facility, MT. Lam Lam, and so many more) It is just not Halo anymore, Personally I think Halo Reach is more of a "Lets see how bad we can make a map and see how many people rage about it" game instead of actual Halo like it used to be in Halo 3.

Even now the good maps are being dumbed down so the game is more *fun* for people who do not know what they are doing, like all of the CoD fan boys who are only on Halo to irritate the die hard Halo Fans (like myself) so they dont play it as much anymore like many good Halo players have done in the last few months. I can understand that some of the newer players are playing Halo for the first time and I wish those few people the best of luck, but for the people who have played the Halo series for years, the maps need to be more exciting and more "game style" friendly for lack of a better term. For example, the people who are good with semi-automatic weapons like the DMR. They have SWAT for that, for people who love heavy weapons and enjoy getting a high kill count, there is Fire Fight. What they need now is a game type specially for the players who like the automobile aspect of Halo fighting. Tanks, Warthogs, Falcons, Banshees, Ghosts, revenants, etc... no weapons just the vechiels. Take a look on the bottom here and you will see an example of how I think BTB Heavies should be.

Halo Reach Ranting: There's no Reason For It

You know what really annoys me? Why the hell do people vote for a map then right when the game starts they all quit, if they're going to quit do it while we are still in the damn pre-game lobby, saves everyone else the hassle of the lag it does when multiple people quit at the same damn time. Speaking of Quitting, when the whole enemy team quits right at the beginning of the game and only one person stays the whole game, and you spend the whole 15 minutes looking for him? Also has anyone else ever noticed that 9 times out of 10 when somebody quits first it is usually the game host? Then the game picks someone to be the host who's internet connection is 100 times worse then the previous game host.

Second, what is with all the armor locking idiots? Just because one bullet hits you it does not mean you can go full noob and stay in armor lock, wait for when you are about to be splattered or stuck by a grenade to use it. A DMR bullet to the shoulder is not an excuse for it. Learn how to take a hit once in awhile. While im ranting about armor abilities, is anyone else really annoyed when your team mate uses Camo and you see it fu*k up your radar and you think it is an enemy sneaking up on you? It's getting tiering and it wastes valuable time that I could be shooting down an enemy trying to stick me or blast a team mate with a rocket. Last thing on armor abilities, does anyone really hate it when your armor ability never loads? or when it never works when you need it to?

I cant count how many times a team mate has followed me around the whole damn map (especially on Hemorrhage) because I took his weapon (most times it is the sniper rifle) and he waits for me to die so he can take it, sooner or later I get sniped then he goes to pick it up like an idiot, then he gets snipped and I go and pick it up again, then the whole process starts again. Go do something you damn retard, you're part of a team, Act like it. Same goes to the morons who betray their team mates, you're so eager to freaking punch someone? make it the enemy not your own teammate who is trying to do their damn job while you are jerking off in the background.
